YPHA Inc. is the Sunshine Coast's not-for-profit built by young people, for young people. We organise, we show up, and we push for change.
It's young, and right now it's renting. On the Sunshine Coast and across Southern Queensland, the rental market has all but shut young people out. These are 2026's numbers.
YPHA is the Sunshine Coast's advocacy body for young people's housing. We don't build houses. We build the pressure, the policy, and the pathways that make housing happen.
The collective voice for young Australians on housing access, affordability, and home ownership.
We push local, state, and federal government to actually respond to the crisis facing young people.
We champion practical solutions: prefab, modular, and community-led housing that puts ownership within reach.
The housing crisis doesn't discriminate. It affects young Australians from every background, including First Nations peoples, new arrivals, young families, people with disability. Housing is a unifying issue, and we stand together.
I have grandsons in Sydney and I just believe that they'll never own a house, so I'm really concerned that, in this great country of ours, we are forsaking our young generation.
